PORTFOLIO: Parsons Casket

Water main repair work consisted of repairing a water main adjacent to the Parsons Casket lagoon by excavating down to the water main, pumping contaminated ground/lagoon water, and repairing the water main in Level C personal protection. NPL site remedy work consisted of excavation and repair of existing water main; water sampling activities; tree clearing and vegetation removal from across six acres; excavation and disposal of 70,000 tons of contaminated soil; excavation and disposal of 400 tons of hazardous soil; backfilling and compaction of 85,000 tons of a low permeability clay layer; real time air monitoring; on-site treatment of 100,000 gallons of water; black dirt and site restoration.
